Thank you so much to everyone who has donated.

The response has been completely overwhelming, and with donations still coming in daily, I don't have the strength right now to reply to everyone individually.

I do intend to read every message myself when I have the energy, because each one means more to me than words can say.

Hi, my name is Matt Efford and I am fundraising for a chance at survival to beat my diagnosis of a Grade 4 Brain Tumour.

I am a family man with a wife and young children. I have two very young children at home, aged 7 and 5 years old.

The average survival rate for someone in my condition is approximately 12 to 18 months.

Having looked into cures, there is extremely limited access in this country for a brain tumour as high grade as mine.

All the research I have done into finding a cure or prolonging life appears to point to Immunotherapy. Unfortunately, there are no trials in the UK I can access, so I am looking at going abroad to get this treatment. These include places like Germany, Lithuania and Mexico. However, having looked into these treatments, the costs range from $65,000 up to $390,000.

Money that I, and many people, don't have spare or lying around freely to use.

With the money donated, I aim to travel abroad to get Immunotherapy and prolong my life, or potentially even help cure this brain tumour.

Any help or donation, no matter how small, would be greatly appreciated towards getting me the help I need for treatment, and also for my kids to have their dad around for as long as possible to share precious memories with.

Thank you for reading my story, for standing beside us, and for helping me fight for my future.

With all our love and gratitude,
Matt and family x

My brother went through a brain tumour diagnosis two years ago, so I know how frightening this road can be. Keep fighting, Matt — your kids are lucky to have such a strong dad. Sending love and prayers xx

Matt, you and your family are not walking this alone. Every pound counts and I truly hope you make it out to Germany for treatment. Stay strong, mate. 💚

I don't know you personally, but as a mum of two little ones the same age as yours, your story broke my heart. Praying immunotherapy gives you many more years with them. You've got this, Matt.

Just shared your page with everyone I know. Those two little ones need their dad around, and immunotherapy has given so many people extra time. Keep believing, Matt. ❤️

Praying for strength, healing and every ounce of hope through this. Grade 4 is brutal, but so is your fight. Your family, your kids — they are your reason. One day at a time.
